| The Wearing of the Green: NS 8099 leads NS 22X on Norfolk Southern Lehigh Line Track #2 at Manville. The lead unit was returned to service in May 2023 after being damaged in a derailment in December 2021. Behind the leader is NS 4658 (AC44C6M; rebuilt from C44-9W NS 9504 in November 2023). The train is passing fellow hotshot and western counterpart, NS 29G, which is on Track #1 with freight cars featuring a similar color scheme to 22X. |
