KCS 4142 leads an extra Kingman Local as it approaches the road crossing of Hackberry Rd. Normally, the Kingman Local works Monday- Friday, but Friday's Winslow to Kingman manifest train was a day late. As a result, a weekend extra local was needed to be called to service the Nelson Lime Plant and interchange cars with the Kingman Terminal Railroad (KGTR). Unfortunately, the extra local crew encountered delays leaving Needles to get to the train; which was tied down at Seligman. They were only able to make it to Nelson. A dog catch crew was called the following day to finish up the work from Nelson to Kingman.
