| On the last day of the 2024 season, the 0-8-0 T cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 4/4 # 704 of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB) reached Furka DFB station on 2160 meter a.s.l. with train 133 from Realp to Oberwald. Now the locomotive is running towards the summit tunnel and then onto the turntable. This type of locomotive, as well as the HG 2/3, has to go "backwards" down the mountain from Muttbach-Bélvedère to Oberwald, due to the boiler construction. |
