Remarks & Notes

All is silent in rural Oakland, IL as the aurora dances overhead. Sitting below is a loaded DREI grain train behind a 5-pack of EMD locomotives. This train came up from Neoga a day prior and was loaded at the ADM facility in Oakland. In the loading process, cars go from being empty south of town, to being loaded and shuffled to the north side. Once power is assembled, the train either heads south towards Neoga or can be parked at a country road north of town. Conveniently, it was parked in a great location for this wonderful atmospheric show.
