An empty coal train is waiting for a BNSF crew to come get it and start the trip back to Wyoming. The train is parked at the ISU Generating Station loop outside of Chillicothe, IA, in southern Iowa. A crew would try to leave with this empty around 14:00, but was told to tied the train down again, and keep vanning to Creston. With no crews for the train at Creston, the Creston dispatcher didn't want it. CP 2888 is the control point here on the BNSF Ottumwa Sub. The train can be seen wrapped around in the upper left hand corner. In 2022 Alliant Energy plans to be coal free at their plants by 2040.
