      Remarks & Notes
It is little known that for the railroad line in Mauritania from the port of Nouadhibou to the ore mining area near Zouérate, which was built between 1960 and 1963, in addition to the large CC mainline locomotives from Alsthom, 12 four-axle diesel locomotives were also built and supplied for shunting purposes. It was a variant of the SNCF's BB 63000, built by Brissoneau et Lotz (mechanical part) and with an 850 HP diesel engine from SACM. At MIFERMA they were designated BB # 01 to # 12. Various of the locomotives are in the “l(fā)ocomotive graveyard” at F'derìk, here BB # 03. In the background on the left you can see a herd of CC # 01 to # 26.
