| The Other Culver Express.
Shortly after the first F express train of the afternoon came rolling through, the daily New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) refuse collection train came through and crossed onto the express track at 4th Avenue / 9th Street Station on the IND Culver Line. Unlike the the majority of other times I've caught this train, R134 no. EP015 was leading as opposed to the R32s: a pleasant surprise since the R127/134s are some of my favorite pieces of equipment in the system. These cars were built by Kawasaki from 1994-1996, and according to rumor were made from spare R62 body shells. |
