Dropping downgrade off Winston Hill, Montana Rail Link’s Helena switch leans into a curve approaching Townsend, Montana, with two cars for the lime plant north of town on June 30, 2017. Nice to see vintage GP9 No. 109 (along with recently-repainted SD40-2XR) out on the main line. The Helena switch now works to Townsend which used to be served by the now discontinued 840 local out of Helena.
