| Festive journey into the New Year with the “Flying Rhaetian” ABe 4/4 # 501 of the Rhaetian Railway, built in 1939 as BCe 4/4 # 501, the green baggage car D # 4205 (built 1948) and the first/second class coach AB # 1565. Organized by the Albula Railway Club and the Rhaetian Railway Steam Friends Association, train 92029/92156 ran from Landquart via Klosters-Davos-Filisur-Bergün (lunch break) to Pontresina (depot visit), and then back to Chur via the Albula line. The train can be seen here during a photo stop on the 4.5 % grade of the Wolfgang pass between Davos Laret and Davos Wolfgang. The train was fully booked. Such red/green mixed trains were common in the 1970/1980'. |
