| 12 years ago, I traveled to Germany to see the wonderful S 3/6 express train steamlocomotive. The four cylinder compound express train steamlocomotive S 3/6 # 3673 (or 18 # 478) can be seen with a chartered train from N?rdlingen via Aalen to Ulm, between Langenau (Württ) and Unterelchingen in full speed. The beautiful 4-6-2 "Pacific" was built in 1918 by Maffei in Munich for the Bayerische Staatsbahn. Today she is operational again for the Bayerisches Eisenbahnmuseum in N?rdlingen. |
