| On the occasion of the traditional so-called triangle trips in the Upper Engadine with the steam locomotive G 3/4 # 11 “Heidi”, a trip through Val Bever to Spinas and back was undertaken for the first time this year. The light oil-fired steam locomotive, built in 1902, belongs to the “Club 1889” association. It pulls train 92148 from Pontresina via Samedan to Spinas behind the massive protective wall, which protects against the dreaded Crastamora avalanche threatening from the left slope of the Bever valley. In December 1919, 200 meters of the railroad line was buried several meters deep here and was out of service for about a week.
