Just about to divert from BNSF Railway’s Needles Sub (on which UP has trackage rights) onto Union Pacific’s Los Angeles Sub – at least for another 3 miles (4.8 km), until arriving in Yermo (where the railroad’s Cima Sub begins), is UP UPS Expedited Intermodal (which can, obviously, also include autoracks) train ZLADV 06, heading from Los Angeles CA to Denver CO. This train has a solid lash up of EMD SD70M diesels: UP 4953, 4823 and, without flared radiators, 4405. (Daggett, California – November 6, 2014)
