Appenzeller Bahnen (AB) have built a large new service center in Appenzell, next to the line to Wasserauen, which will be officially opened on May 3, 2025. The “Tango” Be 4/6-ABe 4/6 4007/4107 "S?ntis" and 4002/4102 "Solitüde", which are used on the route from Appenzell via Gais-Teufen-St.Gallen-Speicher to Trogen, are parked in front of the four-track hall. The AB has 11 of this "Tango" trains built by StadlerRail. The new service facility will replace the workshops in Herisau and Gais and maintain all vehicles on the Gossau-Appenzell-Wasserauen, Appenzell-Gais-St.Gallen-Trogen and Gais-Altst?tten Stadt lines.
