Milwaukee North train 2131 passes Long Lake this evening with F59PH #98 leading. Only a few miles from the destination of Fox Lake, the train would make one more flag stop at the Ingleside station ahead. 98 was built as the GO Transit 530 in November of 1988. The SD70MACH's quickly became fan favorites, but these former GO Transit units are neat as well.
Chicago's huge commuter rail system incorporates routes previously operated by Chicago & Northwestern, Milwaukee Road, Burlington, Illinois Centrak, Rock Island, Gulf Mobile & Ohio and Wabash (N&W).
