The locomotives of the CFR 040 DH series (factory designation LDH 125) are locomotives with hydrodynamic power transmission that were produced in large numbers for shunting and light mainline service on the Romanian state railroads CFR. In addition, 475 locomotives were delivered to Romanian industrial companies, 263 to Bulgaria, 42 to industrial companies in the ?SSR, three to Iraq, two to China and one locomotive to the USSR. The 55 # 032 of the BDZ, standing in Sofia, was built by FAUR in Romania in 1971. The BDZ owned 263 of this type with a 920 kW Sulzer prime mover.
