| The newest Heritage Unit made its first run today on NCDOT's Piedmont service. This 30th Anniversary scheme was applied to F59PH 1893 while being overhauled in Brookville, PA earlier this year. The scheme matches the original NCDOT livery applied to two GP40 variants that initially operated on this service, and 1893 is the first F59 to wear this paint. It is seen trailing train 75 on a deadhead move from Capital Yard to Raleigh Union Station, where the unit arrived to a special ceremony with state officials. |
