| The heavy 0-8-0 T fourcylinder compound cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 4/4 # 708 was built by SLM in 1930 for french Indochina, today Vietnam, and brought back to Switzerland in 1990 more or less as scrap, together with # 704. Now both 800 Hp locomotives are completely rebuilt like new by the DFB workshop in Uzwil. The 2025 season will see for the first time both sisters operational on the mountain. # 708 is standing in the pit track 89 in Realp DFB depot under pressure. |
