    Remarks & Notes
Double Gotthard locomotive Ae 8/14 # 11801 of SBB Historic, built in 1931 by SLM and BBC with 5514 kW, with charter train 31055 for Bahnreisen Sutter from Erstfeld to Bodio and back, between Wassen and G?schenen. On the left famous church of Wassen, visible from the train three times from different angles, in the background 2415 meter high Meiggelenstock. Above the raised pantograph of the locomotive, you can see the portal of the Entschigtal avalanche protection gallery, on the third level of the loops at Wassen. Ae 8/14 # 11801 with Buchli drive on 8 axles was withdrawn in 1975, but since 1984 declared operational historic locomotive, based in Erstfeld and not part of the SBB Historic core fleet, but maintained and operated by Team Erstfeld, Bahnhistorischer Verein am Gotthard. The locomotive is rather seldom seen on the line.
