| San Francisco After Sundown.
Two San Francisco Municipal Railway (MUNI) PCC cars are seen staged on the Embarcadero at Don Chee Way waiting for their turns to curve onto the Market Street section of the F Market and Wharves line. In the foreground is car no. 1056, painted in a scheme worn by PCC cars that operated in Kansas City between 1941 and 1957. In the background is car 1059, painted in Boston Elevated Railway colors. Both cars were originally built for Philadelphia Transportation Co. (PTC) in 1948, and have been rebuilt twice to date. |
