The Oberwei?bacher Bergbahn, renamed the Thüringer Bergbahn in 2020, is a railway line in the Thuringian Slate Mountains, now operated by DB RegioNetz Verkehrs GmbH Oberwei?bacher Berg- und Schwarzatalbahn. Since 1922, it has connected the Obstfelderschmiede stop on the Schwarzatal Railway with the municipality of Cursdorf. To overcome the height difference of more than 300 meters between the Schwarzatal valley and the plateau, a funicular railway with a gauge of 1800 mm was built from Obstfelderschmiede to Lichtenhain. From Lichtenhain to Cursdorf there is a standard gauge line electrified with 600 V DC. Train 29937 of the line RB61 with electric railcars ET 479 # 205 and # 203 in multiple control left Cursdorf shortly for Lichtenhain. # 205 was rebuilt as "Olit?tenwagen" with glass roof ans has no pantograph anymore, the power for the electromotors comes over a cable from # 203.
