| The Carolinian has a rare-to-it Piedmont trainset for power as they roar into Raleigh. The Piedmont trains typically operate against the sun on their northbound runs into Raleigh, making for a rare chance at nose light. The regular Amtrak equipment set for this train got stranded at the NC/VA state line the night prior due to a derailment on CSX. |
