| The ETCS safety system test locomotive Sr1 3018 arriving to Hankasalmi station with timber train T 4337 to meet two oncoming trains. 3018 is being used for testing the ETCS train protection system on the Kouvola-Hamina line where ETCS is being tested for future use on all of Finnish railway network replacing the current JKV system from the, 90s. However when tests are not being conducted, 3018 can be found on any regular train, just like T 4337 from Jyv?skyl? to Pieks?m?ki. The locomotive has also been wrapped in a special "Digirata" (digital railway) livery with a slogan "Luomassa tulevaisuuden rautateit?" (creating the railways of future). |
