It is a nice little station. Somewhere in the other room is a book which will tell what the brick bond pattern is for its wall. I like brickwork but the pattern names just refuse to stick in my memory, all it will retain is the bricks we see the long sides of are called stretchers and the ones we see short ends of are called headers & when the brick is placed vertically the sides are called different names.

Is it called Common Bond?
|
Yes, it's Common bond. Look here for details: https://www.nachi.org/gallery/masonry/types-of-brick-bonds-in-masonry-wall-construction. Personally, Stack bond is the ugliest, Dutch or Flemish are the most attractive, with Soldier bond an honorable mention. Railroads often built brick buildings with an outer wall and an inner wall. Some bricks, in a pattern, were turned 90 degrees to connect the two walls for strength and stability. Nowadays, bricks are usually just a veneer over plywood or OSB.
