Two iconic passenger locomotives, a Amtrak F40PH and CB&Q 9911-A, meet at Johnson siding along the IRM mainline.

With 92 scheduled to lead the coach train the following day, it takes a spin around the wye and the famous signage. Been wanting this shot for years.

Looking like a scene out of early Amtrak, the caboose train weaves out ahead of the Nebraska Zephyr alongside the coach train. Diesel Days is, hands down, a feast of epic proportions.

BNSF SD70MAC 9400 sits nose to nose with the former BNSF 6976 at IRM.
