Here's a look at the "non-public" side of the Mt. Washington Cog Railway's new diesel engine...the side the passengers don't see. Featured prominently are the radiator vents and a large muffler. Note the spacious cab, which has a rear porch. As the Engineer left, I had a brief peek through the open door at the controls....which include a joystick and an LCD screen. No more goggles, earplugs and greasy gloves, I guess.
