| G&W's Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway GP9 No 1700 is sitting cold in the stub-end track at Holiman Yard in Lafayette, GA on a quiet Sunday evening. The former Milwaukee Road GP9 has been placed in the back seat for a while now since the second GP38-2 arrived and placed into service. This old GP9 has a long history dating back to Milwaukee Road and found it's way south in to West Tennessee on the KWT Railroad. It's new home is here on the Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway. Hopefully we can see this first generation locomotive running again real soon. |
