Waiting it's turn for a bath, EMD FT #103 catches some morning sun. The CNTP reporting marks used for transit are for the Cincinnati, New Orleans, and Texas Pacific (CNO&TP). The CNTP reporting marks are still held by Norfolk Southern. This particular unit was purchased by the Southern and saw service on the CNO&TP, and fitting that 103 was hauled between Danville, KY and Harriman Junction, TN on its journey to Spencer, NC.
